As part of Governor Mike DeWine’s H2Ohio initiative, ODNR, through the Division of Mineral Resources Management, held a groundbreaking ceremony for improvements to Taggart’s Wetland in Tuscarawas County on July 12. The modifications to the wetland will decrease iron runoff from acid mine drainage in the Huff Run watershed as well as help prevent flooding of the nearby road. The improvements are expected to more than quadruple the reduction of iron runoff every year.
Project update (May 2023) on the rehabilitation of Lake Hope Dam, featuring interviews with the ODNR Division of Engineering's Jeremy Wenner and Eric Shafer.
